Beginners
There are some excellent nursery slopes in the village and at Chavannes. There are also some fantastic long tree-lined blue runs that come down into Les Gets and Morzine. Intermediates There is good terrain for intermediate skiers and snowboarders all over the Portes du Soleil area and some of the best runs are from the top of Mont Chéry in Les Gets. Advanced The steepest skiing around the Les Gets area is beyond the Mont Chéry summit and advanced skiers will enjoy exploring the whole Portes du Soleil area. For freestyle skiers, there are two terrain parks and a half pipe in Avoriaz. In the evening, there's floodlight skiing into the village of Les Gets. |
Lifts
There are 207 lifts covered in the Portes du Soleil lift pass - 14 gondolas, 82 chairlifts and 111 draglifts giving access to 650km of runs. Les Gets and its neighbour Morzine boast 260km of pistes (10% beginner, 44% easy, 36% intermediate and 10% difficult). Lift passes It is possible to purchase lift passes of any duration both for the Les Gets area itself or for the whole of the Portes du Soleil region including Les Gets, Morzine, Avoriaz, Chatel and La Chapelle d'Abondance in France and Morgins, Les Crosets, Champéry and Champoussin in Switzerland.
